[TARRAGON]

Short and sweet. Don't see the problem. i also don't see the problem with randomness, as long as it's not just for randomness' sake. In your case it was that TARRAGON is an interdimensional herb-based monster. That simple idea was executed simply and that was bloody hilarious.

Haven't seen a Newgrounds animation that actually scared me in a long time. I loved the subtle things, like the flash of lightning on the witch, and the way you didn't shove the monster in our faces. I found the ending somewhat unsatisfying, though. It was a very cliche "Or was it???" ending. I would have preffered more closure.

Wow. Your characterisation has always been amazing but this storyline was so well crafted. The twist at the end was absolutely masterful. *sigh* this would make an incredible children's cartoon. I can't wait for more!

As soon as I heard the "Who am I?" at the start I thought "Oh god not this style of voice acting" HOWEVER I ended up loving this to pieces. Very very well done.

MUCH too slow paced. Probably would have given at least 4 stars if it had been just sped up by about 150%. No other criticism.

I didn't like this. There were so many things you didn't think of. And you didn't make the atmosphere comedic enough to allow for all the obvious plotholes. It would have been nice to hear the bird from the bird sound effect being shot for extra humour. I didn't understand why the area directly around the oasis was just as dry and parched looking as the rest of the land. By no stretch of the imagination can cannon balls create holes that large. I also don't understand how the man expected to buy any more bullets of cannon balls if he really is the only human around for miles. These things probably wouldn't have bothered me if the general feel of the animation had been less... realistic. You employed a lot of classic cartoon humour effects but they weren't enough to overpower an atmosphere that was more suited to a more realistic piece of comedy. I have to admit I'm not quite sure why the atmosphere was so off. I also didn't feel the characters were developed enough. The turtle wasn't really cute or clever enough for me to like him/her and I felt like the man should have been either more obviously heartless and evil (more dead animals, references to him being part of a society that created the desert in the first place, even more obviously evil attributes such as enjoying killing the bug) or you should have made him less evil and more pathetic and scared of losing his oasis. Either way that would have made the punchline much funnier in my opinion.
That said I am not criticising your animation or art skills as i am no authority on that respect.

Wow that's quite a thorough review! This was my first stab at 3D animation, so I wanted to keep the story pretty short to avoid getting myself into technical problems. If you're a stickler for loopholes, I can see how this movie might upset you :)
